Workshop Leader, Ruthin Craft Centre, Denbighshire

  •  Delivered a ceramics workshop to local school children, inspired by The Hale Collection of Tohoku Ceramics. School children made drawings of the objects in the exhibition then using slips and printing techniques created images onto clay.

Sept 2011- June 2012

Firing Up Trainer, Crafts Council

  • Delivered ceramics sessions at Manchester School of Art for the school teachers involved in ‘Firing Up’.
  • Delivered ceramics workshops to school children at Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College and Abraham Moss High School.
  • Assisted with glazing and firing the work within the school.
  • Curated the ‘Firing Up’ exhibition at Manchester School of Art as part of their ‘Out of Schools’ Exhibition.

2009 – 2011

Associate Lecturer, Manchester Metropolitan University

  • Designed and delivered a six week ceramics evening class.
  • Delivered a throwing workshop to Archaeology students.
  • Assisted Three Dimensional Design students with their portfolio and sketchbook work.
  • Delivered ceramics workshops to selected school children from Ruthin, as part of the Denbighshire County council and Ruthin Craft Centre ‘Raising the Bar programme.

  • Designed and delivered ceramics sessions to various groups at Start, including; Arts on Prescription, 50+, Core Groups and Youth Groups.
